Yamasato Masaru, an acclaimed manga artist who worked on storyboards as a member of the original team of Technosophers
Yamasato Masaru (1947-) is an artist who worked on storyboards as part of OmniPark's original team of Technosophers. He was born in Sakashita, now a part of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1965, obtained a Bachelor's degree in art and design at the University of California, Los Angeles, and illustrated several acclaimed manga (most notably the Obake No Mori No Kiki ["Haunted Woods"] horror series), before being hired by Dalton Teague to create ride storyboards for all of OmniPark's major attractions.
Yamasato worked within Teague's inner circle until his retirement in 2003. He now resides in Orange County, California with his wife and daughter.
